The process of counselling involves you discussing what may sometimes be very private and sensitive topics. I know that it can take great courage to open up your inner world to me. It is important to me that you feel safe in our working together and I see our time together as a working partnership.
I offer a confidential therapeutic space to you and work in adherance to the COSCA Code of Ethics, BACP Code of Ethics and the Data Protection Act.
I have been supporting and working with people for many years and offer sessions tailored to your needs. Every person is unique and has their own experience of life. My focus is on helping you gain a feeling of wellbeing and balance and on providing you with any relevant tools to maintain that sense of wellbeing in your life. I work face-to-face, by 'phone or on-line over Zoom/Facetime etc.
I receive regular supervision from an accredited supervisor.
I also maintain the required CPD (continuous professional development) and use every opportunity available to me to develop my competance as a counsellor and therapist. I hold an enhanced PVG (protecting vulnerable groups) certificate from Disclosure Scotland.
I am a registered member of BACP and a counsellor member and registrant of COSCA. I work to and am bound by their Code of Ethics and complaints procedures.
