About me

I have been working with people in one capacity or anther since 1999.

I am trained and qualified in various complementary health modalities including somatic emotional release work. I have also trained as a life coach and have experience in mentoring and supporting people both in groups and as individuals in personal development.

I have a keen interest in neuroplasticity and also in various approaches to working with trauma.

I am qualified as a counsellor working with the person centred approach and draw on all my experience to work with my clients in an integrative way, using different approaches as feels appropriate. Each person is different and may require a different way of working.

I aim to build a good therapeutic relationship with my clients since this is a prerequisite for beneficial counselling and therapeutic work.

My experience includes but is not limited to working with people dealing with issues such as trauma, chronic illness, abuse, self-harm, substance abuse, anxiety, caring for others, stress and bereavement.

I offer you a space where you can be listened to in a non-judgemental way and where you can explore your thoughts or ideas.  I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership where trust is built and my clients are supported to find their own solutions.

Your confidentiality is of the upmost importance to me and I undertake regular supervision and continuing professional development, seeking constantly to develop myself as a person and as a counsellor.
