About me

I have been working with people since 1999.

I am trained and qualified in various complementary health modalities including somatic emotional release work. I have also trained as a life coach and have experience in mentoring and supporting people both in groups and as individuals in personal development.

I have a keen interest in neuroplasticity and also in various approaches to working with trauma. I am a trauma-sensitive certified practitioner with Heartmath, I have also trained in Brainspotting and have an awareness of the Internal Family Systems modal. I'm qualified as a person centred therapeutic counsellor and psychotherapist.
I draw on all my experience to work with my clients in a collaberative and integrative way, using different approaches as feels appropriate. We are all unique and each person may require a different way of working.

I aim to build a good therapeutic relationship with my clients since this is a prerequisite for beneficial counselling and therapeutic work.

My experience includes but is not limited to working with people dealing with issues such as trauma, chronic illness, abuse, self-harm, substance abuse, anxiety, caring for others, physical disease, stress and bereavement.

I offer you a space where you can be listened to and heard in a non-judgemental way and where you can explore your feelings and thoughts or ideas.  I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership where trust is built and you are supported to find your own solutions and to work through past traumas.

Your confidentiality is of the upmost importance to me and I undertake regular supervision and continuing professional development, seeking constantly to develop myself as a person and as a counsellor.
